We are excited to introduce Private Waters in Oak Creek Canyon for the first time. We have partnered up with two unique resorts who are passionate about fly fishing want are happy to welcome the fly fishing community to their properties. Each Resort has its own private stretch of Oak Creek that is filled with trout! Specially the rare almost endangered Gila Trout. This fish is only in a handful of streams in Arizona and Oak Creek Canyon is one of the most beautiful backdrops to find them in. Fishing these waters is great because the fishing pressure is non existent to what you find in the rest of the canyon so the fish are more willing to take your fly. On top of that more likely than not you’ll be the only one out on the water unless some one staying at the rest had the same good idea to get out on the water and have some fun too.
Each resort will have a package to include a fly fishing experience as well. It will be discounted from a non stay trip to fish the water, so be sure to check them out before you come to Sedona to make sure your getting the best deal possible.

This resort is nestled in the upper reaches of Oak Creek Canyon. It sits about half way up the canyon making it a great spot for getting out of town and into the woods. This stretch of private water is a little over a quarter of a mile long with a lot of prime fishing spot within its boundary’s. This part is also more open and makes casting much easier that other parts of the creek.

This resort is really unique. You have the ability to rent yourself your own home for a stay and live the woods cabin life. This is the farthest reach of the canyon we can fish. The stretch of water is a half mile long and had more private land boarder in it on one side and Forest Service on the other. This is probably the least pressured fishing area of Oak Creek.
